Can't Balance? Try this.
Can’t Balance? Try this.
Many single-leg balance exercises focus on the leg which is contact with the ground. This can be helpful, but quite often, the limiting factor is actually the leg off the ground. Let’s find out exactly how you can assess whether this is affecting your balance, and if so, what you can do about it.
Whenever we lift up one leg, that same side hip should not drop toward the ground. However, in many cases where I assess balance, the hip does drop too low without the client ever realizing it. This causes a loss of balance and typically results in a fall inward (toward the hip which drops). This makes a lot of sense.
Try this for yourself. Stand up. Lift up one leg in th...

Rounding Your Back When Lifting - Is it OK? Let’s explore when it’s okay to lift with a rounded back and when it’s not. A “rounded back” in kinesiological terms refers to lumbar flexion. For our purposes, let’s consider two equal zones of spinal positioning. Imagine a circle where we draw a line down the middle of the circle. Let’s assume on the left we have the lumbar flexion zone. Assume on t...

Don’t Box Squat Lifters doing a “box squat” in many gyms have essentially allowed their butt to fall onto a box. Don’t do this! This is very dangerous for your spine and while you may have gotten away with this for years, the micro damage which accumulates can turn into macro damage over time. Instead we’re going to use a different type of squat to help achieve your goals (unless you are a powe...

Try this to see if you're at risk for falls Balance is a quality which when had is largely taken for granted. However, balance over time is gradually loss and often loss without us realizing it until it’s too late. Rapid loss of balance occurs when individuals don’t ever practice their balance. However, the more one practices their balance, the more it is retained. One of the most dangerous per...

Thank you. I thought it made no sense for all swayback to be posterior pelvic tilt. I have a lateral pelvic tilt with the right asis hiked up and a swayback with anterior pelvic tilt. This is the first video that has actually made it clear to me which i have. A lot of the other videos are to basic and dont consider multiple layers of compensation. Thank you. Having an actual clear idea of the issue finally gives you a definitive idea of how to go about fixing the issue.

Frequently, Later in day, I get Tailbone pain, then in both hips, then back to prostate area...oddly, the pain moves around??? I've had cystoscope, proctoscope, mri, ct, xray...everything normal. I have had major hemeroid surgery in my 40s, and bps prostate reduction surgery 8 years ago... the problem started about 6 months after that. So, all that's left is pelvic floor. Thank you for this detailed video. Very helpful! I was told by a practitioner that I had pelvic tilt. They didn’t say whether anterior or posterior. I just did this test and the towel doesn’t pull out initially. When I lower the leg it pulls out slightly if I really tug but still doesn’t come out all the way. So if I understood you correctly, I do not have APT. Is there a way to test for posterior pelvic tilt???

My problem is the exact opposite to most males. My pelvic floor muscles can not handle any muscle activity and they become overly weak from its. No pelvic therapist has any answers for it or has ever seen it. I experience Numbness everywhere after sex or orgasm from the muscle spasm. Then 1 say later for days or weeks the numbness wears off and I can bp experience a lot of pain and soreness all over and it varies. Also a bowel movement and trigger the same issue but usually not as long lasting and not nearly as often. It affects my entire muscles especially my heart and lung muscles as well and it can dilate my veins severely maybe my causing a compression of the arteries.

5 years ago in 2018 I experienced clear watery discharge from penis , burning sensation in urethra and frequent urination ....Doctor told me that this might be some STD like gonorrhea....but the last time I had sex was in 2012 and experienced the problem in 2018...How is this possible to have symptoms after this much time span?........i am 26 years old now.........He gave me antibiotics which i used for a week but after one week i started feeling severe pain in testes and swelling.....I changed the doctor and the new doctor did tests .including urine culture, VDRL and HIV test ...........Thank God all tests were negative ............I was then given an injection and antibiotics for one month ...I cured everything and was fine.......But now in 2023 i started feeling mild pain in testes and sweollen veins in scrotum which comes and go ........and pain spreads to lower abdomen , back ....and even thighs and legs ............and i feel better when i exercise.,..,..............I have repeated the tests before taking antibiotics but all were negative........Antibiotics arent working and 25 days have been passed ..... Is this prostatis or some STD like gonorrhea?..If so why bacteria doesn't show in urine culture ?...please help...

So I developed a piviting point arround L4 witch when I bend forward tends to posteriorize. I'll this exercises to see if it helps. Do you think that adding exercices to strengthen the multifidus muscles will also help? Thanks
